Midwest Mining Technologies is a Geraldton-based software company building practical tools for the Western Australian mining industry: the mid-tier miners, contractors and explorers who run lean.

Seth Kersting
I grew up in Geraldton watching WA mining run on clipboards and workarounds. I started Midwest Mining Technologies because the software for mine sites should be built by someone who lives here and understands the environment, not someone reading about it from an office in Sydney.
Based in the Mid West, I'm within a day's drive of most WA operations. Before writing a line of code, I spend the time talking to site managers, HSE coordinators and operations teams, making sure we build what people actually need.

Boring beats clever
The work that costs you time isn't glamorous: paper forms, manual entry, reports written from memory. We fix the boring stuff properly instead of chasing an AI moonshot.
Built for operators
The people filling out the forms, running the toolbox talk, doing the handover. If it isn't faster and easier for them on a dusty phone at 5am, we haven't solved anything.
The Mid West is home. We're not going anywhere.
